10- Animal directoryCompare the full species roster by enclosure, biome, region and conservation status. Open an animal for its space, climate, social and breeding requirements.
- Aquarium lifeAquarium species include fish and other fully aquatic animals. Compare their tank size, water conditions and group requirements before selecting a collection.
- Aquarium requirementsCompare aquatic space, depth, temperature and salinity where those values are recorded. Missing requirements remain unknown instead of being treated as zero.
- Aviary birdsAviary species need suitable flying space as well as their recorded habitat conditions. Use the individual records to compare enclosure and social requirements.
- BiomesCompare species memberships and seasonal climate for each biome. The species list and climate records answer different planning questions and should be read together.
- Breeding and lifespanReview group composition, bachelor groups, maturity, lifespan and reproduction intervals for the species with recorded breeding data.
- EcosystemsEach ecosystem combines establishment requirements with ecological roles needed to flourish. Follow the linked species and release records to plan a reserve.
- Exhibit animalsExhibit species use compact managed enclosures. Some aquatic species also appear in the aquarium directory, so category totals overlap.
- Habitat animalsLand-based habitat species share this directory. Their individual pages distinguish land, water, climbing and shelter requirements.
- Habitat requirementsCompare habitat and aviary space, temperature, group size and fence requirements. Extra-area values apply to each additional animal; a minimum is not a recommended capacity.
Conservation & research
6- Community challengesCommunity challenges combine player contributions in Franchise mode. Goals are listed here; live dates and rewards are controlled online and are not guaranteed by this snapshot.
- Conservation statusSpecies status follows the reference Zoopedia snapshot. Vulnerable, Endangered and Critically endangered are grouped as threatened; an uncounted population is not zero.
- Conservation projectsCompare project types, locations, staffing, costs and rewards. Dated offers belong to the captured reference snapshot and may change in the live game.
- Planet HubExplore species by their recorded wild regions. An animal may belong to several regions and biomes; these memberships are independent of its zoo enclosure type.
- Release groupsRelease records define eligible group compositions, reserve conditions and ecological roles. Alternative requirements retain their OR conditions.
- ResearchVets perform research while continuing animal care. Research Centres provide work capacity; species stages can unlock thriving requirements, fertility, education and release options, with some stages gated by reserve activity.
Building & facilities
6- Barrier plannerCombine recorded fence requirements for selected species and inspect matching barrier properties. The result covers barrier requirements; climate, group composition and species interactions still need separate checks.
- BarriersCompare resistance, climbability, water sealing and permitted enclosure types. Powered barriers require their powered and unpowered states to be considered separately.
- EnrichmentBrowse habitat and food enrichment, feeders and water sources. Each entry links the species recorded as users and lists its available cost data.
- Shops and facilitiesCompare guest buildings and staff facilities, including construction costs, capacity and their related shop items.
- Food, drinks and souvenirsCompare sale prices, stock costs, profit and effects on guest needs. Extras are listed separately so their cost and need changes stay attached to the right option.
- Transport ridesCompare vehicle capacity, vehicle limits and speed settings for the transport systems.
Management & play
8- AchievementsEach achievement lists its requirement and any specifically recorded species or numerical threshold. Check the exact condition before planning a large zoo-wide objective.
- CareerCareer scenarios list starting conditions and Bronze, Silver and Gold objectives. Additional conditions must hold for an objective to count; optional objectives remain identified.
- DifficultyCompare changes to animal, guest and staff systems across Easy, Medium and Hard. Difficulty history can affect achievement eligibility and the difficulty recorded for career medals.
- Game modesCareer, Franchise and Sandbox provide different progression and management settings. Franchise requires online access; Sandbox presets change the economy, animal and ecosystem constraints.
- News and announcementsFollow official Planet Zoo 2 updates and the species reveal timeline. Source links and publication dates are retained where the reference feed provides them.
- Species reveal timelineFollow the recorded reveal dates of the base-game species. The dates describe announcements rather than the day an animal becomes available within a save.
- StaffCompare staff roles, salary ranges and training costs. The recorded pay figures use Medium difficulty. Training takes effect after the employee rests in a Staff Room.
- Thriving relationshipsA species can satisfy a specific thriving requirement by sharing with a member of its named group. The direction of that requirement matters; group membership alone does not establish complete housing compatibility.
