Read the conditions before leaving
Weather changes within each region, and visibility can change during a trip. Check wildlife entries for any time or weather requirements instead of expecting every species at every marked spawn point.

Day and night windows
The reference defines daytime as 05:00–20:00 and night as 20:00–05:00. Camping advances time rapidly. The Cloud Clearing Bell can switch the weather to clear when you need better conditions.
The Canadian areas include aurora conditions in the reference data. Treat an aurora as a chance event rather than a guaranteed result of arriving after sunset.
