Embervale

Embervale is the world where Enshrouded takes place. It is a vast open world full of mutated creatures, mysteries and secrets to discover.

Regions

The current seven regions of Embervale are the following:

Springlands

The Springlands is a biome of relatively peaceful woods and meadows that acts as the starting region of Embervale. Its far eastern section is considered a distinct sub-biome, the Low Meadows.

It is home to Scavengers, Vukah, and weaker Fell enemies. Important resources like Salt and Flintstone can be found here. The Alchemist, Blacksmith, Carpenter, Collector, Farmer, and Hunter survivors are all found in the Springlands.

Revelwood

The Revelwood is a biome of dense forests and a sub-biome of the Blackmire swamp. It also contains the capital city of Embervale, known as Pikemead's Reach.

A handful of new Fell enemies first appear here, along with Scavengers, aggressive wildlife, and dangerous plants. New resources like Hardwood, Copper, and Clay can be found in the Revelwood. The Bard survivor can be rescued from the Blackmire region of the biome.

Nomad Highlands

The Nomad Highlands is a biome of limestone bluffs high above the Shroud. It also contains the Pillars of Creation, two massive volcanos connected to the Ancients, and Umber Hollow, a low region of dense Shroud in the center of the Highlands.

A majority of Embervale's Vukah call the Nomad Highlands home, with many encampments and primitive settlements dotting the landscape. The region is also home to several large Scavenger settlements, along with new, more dangerous, Fell. Much of the region's value lies in its minerals, with important resources like Tin, Limestone, and Fossilized Bone being found here.

Kindlewastes

The Kindlewastes is a biome of sun-baked sandstone mesas dotted with cacti, sand dunes, and Scavenger settlements. Below these mesas are winding canyons filled with Shroud and Fell.

Many of the ruined settlements throughout the region have been taken over by dangerous bands of Scavengers, while others like the Sun Temples are haunted by powerful Fell. The desolate, sandy reaches between settlements are filled with highly dangerous and lethal wildlife. Surprisingly, the region is still rich with resources; palm wood, saffron, iron and various other important materials can all be found here.

Albaneve Summits

The Albaneve Summits is a biome of the large mountain Howling Peak and its surrounding areas. It is a harsh and frigid environment at higher altitudes so warm clothing is a must.

The Fell in this region are powerful and dangerous, but the same can be said for the other residents of the summits. A particularly vicious faction of Scavengers has taken up residence in many of the ruined castles and villages throughout the mountains here, while dangerous wildlife like spiders, snow leopards, and vultures dominate the wilderness. There are even rumors of mythical creatures in the area, and tales of even worse things high in the mountain peaks. Braving the dangers may prove worth the effort, though, as valuable resources like conifer Logs, amethyst, granite, obsidian, and silver are plentiful in the region.

Veilwater Basin

Veilwater Basin Lore.png

The Veilwater Basin is a biome of dense tropical jungles filled with ancient ruins and freshwater lakes set beneath a canopy of natural limestone arches.

The region is home to a territorial and highly clever faction of lizardfolk known as the Drak, who fiercely guard their ancient temples and captured villages. Some small bands of Scavengers can be found here as well, often warring with the Drak in territorial disputes. In the jungles themselves, large lizards and surprisingly tough crabs accost unwary travelers. Gathering in the jungles yields new resources like tropical Wood, coffee Beans, and Palm Leaves. While those who explore the coastlines, delve into the temples, and get their feet wet, will be rewarded with valuables like aquamarine, gold, and mother-Of-Pearl.

Cinder’s Cradle

The Cinder’s Cradle is a biome of Mountains and sky islands filled with automated objects.

The region is very dangerous, one wrong move you you can burn. The Ancient Constructs will protect their land with flames. Some small strands of Drak can be found here. Further into the sky islands lies Lord Vorgoth, who threatens the Mother Flame. Many of the resources are mined, like Celestium and Diamonds. While flying through the sky, encountered resources may include Archaic Shards and Aurora Beans.
