Prepare the camera
Download the Photo Camera blueprint at the Starting Level wildlife outpost, then craft it using 3 Scrap Metal. Registered photos appear in the journal and are saved to your computer.
Get a qualifying photo
The 34 species have different minimum frame coverage, ranging from 0.01% to 1%. Check the species entry, then move closer or zoom in. Journal biome categories do not restrict where an animal appears.
