Overview

Capybaras are small mammals from the Veilwater Basin region.

Fleeting

  • Capybaras are fleeting creatures.

  • Capybaras will turn and flee if the player or any hostile creature is close enough and within line of sight.

  • Hostile creatures from other factions will attack Capybaras if they enter their detection range.

Veilwater Basin

  • Capybara Oasis, southwest of the Veilwater Basin Ancient Spire

  • On the northwestern shore of Starfish Shores

Taming

Capybara can be tamed with Capybara Food Bait. They require three successful pet interactions (💛💛💛) to be tamed.

After being brought to your base they require shelter, a Farm Animal Pillow, and a Capybara Feeder with Capybara Food. You can craft these at the Farmer NPC.

Breeding

If provided with a spare bed, a pair of Capybaras have a chance to produce offspring (Baby Capybara).

See Animals Husbandry for breeding instructions, a complete list of farm animals, and more.

Produce

Capybara produce Capybara Bristles when sheltered and fed. They can hold up to ten (10) and won’t produce more beyond this limit until it's collected.

They will also produce when unfed, but at a much slower rate. Production will happen regardless of player distance.
